UP police catches 7 exam ‘solvers’ including a DU graduate

Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force reported the arrest of a DU graduate along with a railway trackman for allegedly providing “solvers” to candidates appearing for Railway Recruitment Board Examination.

The accused used to take money from candidates for sending fake examinees in their place to take the ‘Group D’ examination for the selection in the Railways, officials said.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police for Noida STF reported that the gang has taken Rs. 2 crores from over 200 students to replace them with solvers for the online examination.

The solvers have sat for these examinations multiple times at the centers in Chandigarh, Patiala, Noida, and Sonipat.

The STF had been getting information about such gangs for other examinations as well. Recently, students from Bihar also joined them.

The Police got a tip-off from sources and reached the spot and arrested the seven gang members around 11:30 am at an RRB Exam center in sector 62.

All accused have been booked under different sections of IPC and provisions of the Information Technology Act.
