Stephen’s reputation speaks for itself. It has a different website for admissions and follows a different protocol. This is the only Delhi University college where you also have to pass an interview apart from clearing the percentage criteria, which for some courses crosses 99. So in short, it’s really hard to get in here and if you do you’re probably going to get a few jaw drops from people when you mention it.
It is a constituent college of the university, founded in the year 1881 but established later on in the 1920s and as the name suggests, also a minority Christian college. It is particularly famous for its courses in arts and sciences. In science courses, the cut off average is 96-97. Highest pay package in 2018 here was 20 lakhs per annum.

So, Miranda and St. Stephen’s have basically exchanged places for the spots here (NIRF ranking reference). Miranda House is also a constituent college of the Delhi University for women only. The cut off average lies ranges around 93-98. The high cut-offs ensure that there is competition not only during but also after college life begins so that students can grow and develop throughout the three years. Miranda’s strife towards excellence is witnessed in the fact that it topped the ranking by “The National Institutional Ranking Framework” not only once but twice consecutively.

Hindu was initially affiliated to Punjab University and now has come to serve as one of the colleges that make Delhi University the brand name that it is. The science cut-offs here range from 90 going as high as 98. Both academic and culturally the students of Hindu excel. It’s dramatics society India is counted as one of the best in the entire university and every year Hindu conducts its fest “Mecca” which is again one of a kind. With high packages, top cultural societies and fest as well as top rankings in all three stream, Hindu is a star college of the university.

Sri Venkateswara is one of the only colleges which is not from North Campus to actually make the list and is rightly called the best South Campus college. From the crowd to the location (referring to Satya Niketan) everything here is of the best quality. Commuting here has also become really easy with a metro station just opposite to the college. The college is famous for excellence in academics and the cut offs here go as 97 in science. It has a separate science block and is particularly famous for this stream. The highest package here has been that of a staggering Rs. 35 lakhs. Do we need to say more?

Hansraj is a constituent college of the university, famous for giving superstars like Shahrukh Khan and academic excellence too, obviously. The cutoff average in science here from the highest at 98 and the lowest at 90 for the general category. The college is an infrastructural beauty and is the spot for shooting a lot of movies along with colleges like Miranda. The college’s highest package has been that of 16lakhs per annum. It’s annual fest “Confluence” is the one to watch for.
