Zomato Rating – 4.3/5stars

The selling point of this place is it’s beautiful ambience, with decorations they keep changing according to seasons and festivals like Christmas. The food here is a definite go too.

It’s a high-end expensive restaurant, so if you’re looking for a pretty place but want it to be pocket-friendly, try visiting in large groups.

Must Taste – Strawberry Mojito, Jalapeno Cheese Poppers, Smoked Chicken Risotto, Oreo Brownie Cheesecake

Where? It has 2 branches in South Campus, one is near Jesus and Mary, and Maitreyi. Another is near Gargi and Kamala Nehru. Here are the addresses to both.

What I love about this place is that it never disappoints. When it comes to food, all of us are afraid of trying new things because of how it might turn to be, but you can order literally anything here and you’ll be licking fingers at the end of it.

The quantity of food, the great attitude of the staff, the ambience are all plus points.

Must try – 3-way chicken fries, Arrabiata Pasta, Tiramisu Shake, Tacos and Chocolate Sundae

3. The Punter House

The Punter House- Delhi University’s South Campus

Zomato Rating – 3.8/5 stars

Specialises in Continental, Indian, North Indian, Chinese

If you’re a South Campus student, this is one place that should be on your bucket list.

It’s one of the few two floored cafes in Satya and it is famous for being a popular pocket-friendly partying site.

Must Try – Manchurian Momos, Cheese Maggi, American Peri Peri Chicken, BA Paas Arrabiata Pasta

4. Off-Campus

Off-Campus- Delhi University’s South Campus

Specialises in Continent, Italian, Fast Food

Zomato Rating – 4/5 stars

Given the number of options one has in Satya, it is difficult to repeat cafes because as one closes, another opens.

But this is one place you’d want to visit again. I’d recommend going to their terrace on a sunny winter morning.

Must Try – Chicken Manchurian, Chilli Cheese Fries, Mini Burgers Platter, All Chicken Pizza

Specialises in Fast Food and Beverages

It opened recently in January 2019, so Zomato ratings are still to come out but from our personal experiences we rate it 4.4/5 stars

This cafe is our new favourite, with its highlight being the amazing food. Being a college student, people prefer places which have good food at a low cost, that is what makes this place a perfect in the campus area.

Must Try – Baked Chicken Pasta, White Sauce Pasta, Chocochip Waffles, Oreo Shake

6. Grill Masters

Grill Masters- Delhi University’s South Campus

Specialises in Fast Food

Zomato Rating – 3.8/5 stars

Grill Masters is famous for its burgers and sandwiches, some of which are as cheap as 40 bucks. So, this is another pocket-friendly cafe popular among students.

Must Try – Bad Boy Chicken Burger, Chicken Salami Sandwich, Cheese Corn Veg Sandwich

7. Big Yellow Door

Big Yellow Door- Delhi University’s South Campus

Specialises in Fast Food and Italian

Zomato Rating – 4.2/5 stars


This place sells itself and is one of the most popular cafes in the area. It is creatively themed, with a titled yellow door and two floored ambience with stars hanging by the ceiling. It’s very famous for its nachos.

Must try – Chilli Chicken Spaghetti, Bomb Burger, Hazelnut Latte, Nachos

8. Cafe Befikre

Cafe Befikre- Delhi University’s South Campus

Specialises in Italian and Chinese

Zomato Rating – 4/5 stars

This is one of our favourites in the South Campus, the ambience is light and nice. The food, particularly the pasta here is one of the best in the area. The service here is good as well.

Must Try – White Sauce Pasta, Nachos, Watermelon Mojito, Chicken Tikka, Paneer Tikka Pizza

9. Chowringhee

Chowringhee- Delhi University’s South Campus

Specialises in Fast Food, Rolls, Momos

Zomato Rating – 3.8/5 stars

Who doesn’t love rolls and momos? Chowringhee has an entire lane dedicated to its name given its size and spread on both sides of the road. The food here is what makes this place special.

Must Try – Kathi Roll, Chicken Tikka Roll, Chicken Tandoori Momos, Chicken Momos

10. 2 Bandits

2 Bandits- Delhi University’s South Campus

Specialises in North Indian, Mexican, Italian

Zomato Rating – 3.9/5 stars

This is another high-end cafe, and probably the most expensive in the area but the ambience and food make up for it.

Must Try – BBQ Chicken Wings, Travelling Gypsy Sandwich, The Texan Burger, Mexican Flame Pizza

Where? Sri Venkateswara College, 16, 1st & 2nd Floor, Benito Juarez Marg Opp, Satya Niketan

Other places you must try: QD’s Restaurant, Crust Factory, Woodbox, Kev’s Cafe, Echoes and Cafe Dairies
