DUSU sends letters to MPs from Delhi and Central Ministers to help Economically Weaker students of DU.
Delhi University Students Union has written letters to all Member of Parliament from Delhi as well as few Central Ministers to help Economically Weaker students of Delhi University. Also if possible try to take it personally upon themselves to bear fees of as many students as possible.
DUSU has sent letters to Health Minister Dr Harshavardhan, Minister of State Finance Anurag Thakur, Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Sekhawat and all MPs elected from 7 seats of Delhi namely Manoj Tiwari, Pravesh Verma, HansRaj Hans, Ramesh Bidhuri, Meenakshi Lekhi, Gautam Gambhir and Noida MLA Pankaj Singh.
Apart from this ABVP led DUSU has decided to provide scholarship to 50 students from economically weaker section, the process of selection for which has already begun.
DUSU President Shakti Singh has said ‘ We at DUSU are helping 50 such students but have also requested to all MPs from Delhi and other prominent ministers to help as many students possible at their own personal level. There are many such students who require help in order to attain higher education and DUSU is trying its best to help them’.
