Possible Ban On Vehicles Except CNG, as Delhi Chokes

The degrading quality of air in the national capital has now become a cause of great concern so much that it may lead to banning on the Non-CNG Vehicles in an effort to cut down on the toxic air.

This comes in as a suggestion from the Environment Pollution Control Board, which submitted its list of recommendation to the Central Pollution Control Authority asking either to completely avoid non-CNG private vehicles on road or to follow the odd-even rue again.

The air quality has dwindled past the safe levels in all major cities surrounding the national capital, oscillating between ‘very poor’ and ‘severe’.  Reacting to the recommendation by EPCA Chairman Bhure Lal, said the order for a complete ban on private non-CNG vehicles should be reconsidered by the EPCA themselves as they are a larger body.
