We know that Nallamala is the largest undisturbed stretches of forest in part of eastern ghats in India. Some people with political agendas are trying to feature sky-high numbers as profits of Uranium Mining and projecting as if the nallamala outrage by everyone is a part of a Chinese strategy to bring down the Indian economy.
It is completely pointless to bring the Chinese into the issue since every one of us voluntarily took part in the campaign and fighting against the mining as we cannot trade our forests with some radiotoxic substance.
Understand that nallamala is a huge source for oxygen and the most essential rainfall initiator for India and destroying it in the name of Mining will lead to adverse effects on the climate and everyone of us have to suffer the consequences of climate emergency that’s the reason why all of us are so concerned about the issue and its is a simple and clear logic to understand that there no need for someone to be behind to push us in to doing this.
At least we can buy uranium from other countries. But how can we bring back the forests that have been growing for over millennia once they are lost? Also is that necessary to Wipeout Indians largest tiger reserve dense forests and tribal lands while there are other sources of uranium in the country itself.
Exploration will expose and pollute groundwater and leech the minerals and dangerous chemicals into the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, the livelihoods of the chenchu, besides exposing them and hundreds of others to uranium contamination.
Is it a bit too much to ask for the rescinding of the proposals if India’s largest tiger reserves are not sacrosanct then the future of tigers is really bleak in the new India chenchus are perhaps the first habitants of mainland whole nation sees and understand what going on around nallamala It is a rather foolish kid’s play to cook up stories that make zero sense and attract hyper national to cover up what they are doing. Remember this we went fell for these comic tricks and we will never step back for the #Stop Uranium, #Save Nallamala.
