The megastar of the Tamil movie industry Rajnikanth met the former union minister Pon Radhakrihnan recently. He was happy to tell the public that he will not be joining BJP even after the number of attempts to paint his “saffron”, the color of the party. Radhakrishanan told the reporters that he welcomes him wholeheartedly to the party as he is very knowledgeable and honest person.

Rajnikanth annunciated in 2017 that he will be joining politics and contesting in the Tamil Nadu elections in the year 2021 with his own party called Rajini Makkal Mandram.

Since the announcement he has signed 4 films and has been unclear about what is going to happen. He will continue acting till anything else is announced about the party just like MGR. According to his statement, it is right for all the other parties to form an alliance against the BJP.

Just like the party tried to include other people like Kamal Hassan they want to try and persuade him in joining the party but as seen earlier Kamal Hassan made his own party Makkal Needhi Maiamhe is often praising the party and its leaders but earlier said that the concept of demonetisation was right but it wasn’t implemented properly.

He doesn’t want the media to link him to the party whatsoever and says that they won’t be able to influence him or Thiruvalluvar. The twitter handle of BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit on November 1st posted a couplet from Thiruvalluvar’s poem and also posted a picture of him clad in saffron clothing.

This post caused a feud between the DMK and the BJP and the other parties.

The media asked if he was offered a place in the meeting when he met the Minister but he denied.

“No offer has been made,” he said.

Supporters of the actor also think of him as a possible candidate for the chief minister thinking he won’t disappoint the fans and the public. People in the state think that the party wants to use the film hero for his social base and eventually for economic purposes. He might also lose the support if he aligns with BJP.

The actor turned politician is not ready to join the saffron party, but the party is still keeping the place open for him. His fans and supporters are eagerly waiting for him to announce his own party, he may declare that on December 12, his birthday.
