In this program, the issue of absenteeism of students was discussed at various forums and Colleges were expected to develop a full proof and effective mechanism to curb absenteeism.

As a result of this notices were put up in colleges. One such notice was issued by Dr. Anil Sardana, the acting principal of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University, on 3rd April 2019.

Dr. Anil Sardana stated in his notice that

“students should be motivated to attend their classes on a regular base, otherwise, the consequence of not attending the classes would be, not to provide Admit card to those who has Attendance less than 75%,  hence following the rule issued by the UGC in this regard.”

He also requested the teachers to send the attendance from January 2019 to March 2019, by April 6th 2019. Also, a list of students with zero attendance would be submitted to the respective offices. After which the letters would be sent to the students immediately.
