On Sunday, a man aged 42 was apprehended after he allegedly shot dead his eight-year-old son in a celebratory firing in northeast Delhi New Usmanpur as stated by the police.
The incident comes days after a woman architect died when a former JD(U) leader fired celebratory shots in the air during a New Year’s eve party at his farm house in Fatehpur Beri.
The child was hit on his left cheek during the celebratory firing. He was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately could not make it.

The accused later in his defence stated that he had the firearm from the man in Uttar Pradesh and the entire episode was an accident.
