After the announcement by Union Home minister Amit Shah about the scrapping of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi Government increased the security system manifold times. The latest is the issuing of Red Alert on the entire DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) network. This step is taken to ensure that no untoward incident takes place in the Metro train network that runs across the Noida, Gurgaon, Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad.
The passengers now will have to go through some additional checks by the CISF personnel at major stations. Additional CISF troops, counter-terror reaction teams, and security gadgets have been employed to make sure that the commuters have less trouble while they are getting frisked up, these additional deploys will also ensure swift action in case any emergency situation hops in. Increasing the number of security personnel will also make sure that the entire process occurs rapidly so that the passenger’s schedule doesn’t get affected in any chance. But, keeping the past years’ experience in mind, do take precautionary steps like leaving a bit early, in case you want to reach your destination on time.
It has been customary that each year Delhi government metro authorities elevate their security system before the Independence Day Celebrations on 15th of August.
In order to check that no anti-social element could dare to vitiate the security system, these occasional steps are mandatory by the Government. As the revocation of Article 370 is still a “festering wound” for many terror organization across the globe, Government needs to scrutinize the security conditions in areas where masses accumulate so that no belligerent bevy can attack the innocent people.
While the effect of scrapping is seen everywhere around the country, Jammu and Kashmir is still the main objective by the Government, in sensitive areas the internet connection is ceased and is under surveillance. To clinch that no fracas happens after the abrogation Government is taking proper measures.
