A proud moment for Indians as our armed forces sent a loud and clear message to Pakistan.

A pre-dawn attack was planned and executed by the Indian Air force where fighter planes dropped 1,000 pounds bombs at Jaish-e-Mohammad terror camps situated across the Line of Control, surrounded by thick forests, in Balakot on Tuesday.

India has successfully accomplished the strikes two weeks after the Pulwama attack where 40 of our CRPF jawans were killed.

According to reports, the IAF used Mirage-2000 jets for carrying out this operation. The attacks were enacted around 3:30 am.

The terror launch pads in Balakot, Muzzarfrabad and Chakoti, which technically produced these terrorists and served as their training camps have been completely destroyed.

While the terrorist organisation, Jaish-e-Mohammad, who confirmed and claimed liability for the 14 February attack has been eliminated. Over 200-300 terrorists were terminated in this attack.

The IAF has prescribed high alert on all air defence systems along international borders. Moreover, no casualties have been reported, adding up to the success.

India had appealed to the International community to identify Masood Azhar, the chief of Jaish-e-Mohammad, as ‘UN-designated terrorist’, right after the Pulwama attack.

The Balakote camp covers an area of 6-7 acres of land and is the biggest Jaish-e-Mohammad camp in Pakistan, confirmed by top government sources.

The strike, which is casually named “surgical strike II” evoked widespread responses from across the country. A diplomat said,

“The Modi government made it clear from Uri 2016 that every terror strike would be met with retaliation. The question earlier was should we or should we not now it’s when where and how.”

Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said at a briefing,

“The Indian government is firmly and resolutely committed to taking every measure to retaliate against terror attacks.”

Union minister Prakash Javadekar told the reporters,

“The military has taken this necessary step for country’s security. It was an act of extreme valour. PM Modi had earlier given the armed forces the freedom to take action. Today, the entire country is with the forces.”
