One of the most auspicious festivals Diwali (The festival of light) is approaching and the festivities have already begun in every nook and corner of the town. Diwali, along with the religious and cultural values this festival holds, is best known as a celebration full of delightful colors and sweets, alluring lights and decorations, tempting fireworks and tons of happiness. Hence, this festival indeed offers a perfect opportunity to share the blissful moment oozing with joy and jubilation which roots back to the archetypal stories of The King Rama and his homecoming, with our family and friends.
World Organisation of Students and Youth – Delhi Chapter is back again with an interesting plan for a compassionate Diwali. This time we have decided to celebrate this Diwali with the less-taken-cared-of people who are alone in this world after being abandoned by their own children and therefore are compelled to room in old age homes.
So, let’s come forward to lighten up the lives of the people living in old age home. Let’s come together and feel the satisfaction of adding up happiness and exuberance in the lives of old age people. Let’s create the symphony of youngsters’ passion and oldsters’ experiences and gear up to make their twilight years gratifying on this October the 25th.
Venue – Arya Mahila Ashram, Ridge Road, New Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi
