The CA students have taken up to streets as now the water is flowing above the head for them. The students are protesting near the busy ITO crossing since Monday with the simple demand of changes in the exam law which forbids the paper from being re-evaluated.
Students have many grievances regarding the situation, vineet a CA student says that, if the article 370 can be abrogated why not amendment in this simple regulation. The students are protesting by camping outside the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India during 11 am to 5 pm.
The common demands of all is change in the law which prohibits re-evaluation, not only that re-checking is also required because it is the future of students which is on stake.
While during the protest many students were still busy in preparing for the upcoming exams whereas a few were busy in debating about the future difficulties faced by them given the limited career opportunities available for them. According to students there was a glitch in checking of paper if the re-evaluation would be carried they can prove that who is at fault.
Some students say that this field requires a gruelling amount of hard work, many have spent 5-10 years long in hope to get cleared soon. According to section 39 (4) of the Chartered Account Regulation, students are only allowed to opt for re-evaluation not for re-checking.
The students are only provided with the information of whether their answer is being marked or not but not about how they are being marked is it lesser than they deserve?
This has caused conundrum among the students because many are in frustration and stress, seeing our youths in such difficulty is really a matter of being ashamed of.
