School of Open learning to adopt “Semester System”: Delhi University decides to have a joint discussion

A sense of panic arose in the University of Delhi when it called a sudden meeting of its executive council to discuss upon the conduction of Semester system examination in the School of Open Learning (SOL) and the Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB).

It was predetermined that the SOL and NCWEB were going to have a choice based semester system from the academic calendar of 2019-2020. This step is going to clinch that the SOL and NCWEB is tantamount to the regular colleges of the University of the Delhi. The idea of conducting a semester system examination is a much-calibrated step by the University.

The sole purpose of the meeting is to set up the conduction pattern of Examination, semester system by the executive committee members of the University of Delhi. The meeting will also set upon rules and regulations of the semester examination.

About NCWEB:

Non-Collegiate Women Education Board is an offbeat system of achieving a degree from the University of Delhi by attending lectures only on weekends. The Peculiarity of NCWEB is that it allows merely women students that too only inhabitant of the National capital Territory of New Delhi to get admitted in it. It is an initiative taken by the Government to encourage the women Education in India.

The University of Delhi has been an eminent institute in India since ages. Every year thousands of students across the entire country comes to take admissions here.

The value of Degree from the University of Delhi holds a very powerful meaning and is valued across the world. Thus the addition of Open learning in the varsity is a way of expansion and is also going to provide leverage over other identical Universities.
