Assembly elections are knocking on the doors and the leaders are springing up with lucrative policies and yojanas. The latest addition to this list is the “Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Yojana”.
The aim of this scheme is to provide monetary aid to the students from the cash-strapped students as well as backward classes such as OBC (Other Backward classes) and SC (scheduled class). This is an AAP Government initiative and the funds are increased to a sum of Rs 40,000 to Rs 1 lakh.
This decision has been passed in a rendezvous of cabinet ministers. This scheme will be applicable to the students who have cleared class 10th and 12th board from the capital whose family earning is less than 8 lakh per annum.
This is the scheme which came into effect last year for the financial help of the students.
The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that during this neck to neck fight competitive world many brilliant students born to a poverty-stricken family are left behind, those belonging to the backward classes are also often neglected jobs. Thus the government has launched this Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Yojana.
During the implementation of the scheme they felt that the amount was meagre and was not able to fulfil the needs of the students. The newly revised amount is catapulted to Rs 1000000. Under the scheme, the government will finance coaching based on time and course. Citing a few examples- for UPSC exam the Government will provide 1 lakh for 12 months.
The amount will be given either directly or indirectly. The news became popular when the tailor’s son got admitted to IIT where even Kejriwal’s son is studying. The scheme will provide funds for medical, engineering, IT and government alike.
