The NTA ( National Testing Agency ) has been requested by the Delhi University, to conduct entrance exams for various programmes on its behalf. The entrance exams will be for the undergraduate, masters, MPhil and PhD programmes of Delhi University for the 2019 admissions.
Following the footsteps of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University has decided to adopt NTA’s computer based entrance test. NTA has asked DU to send in the details of the test and other T&C.
Delhi University’s decision to reach out to the NTA was because of the fact that NTA has expertise in holding entrance exams.
For the students who desire to get admission in the Delhi University, for one of its undergraduate courses, the following are the courses which require the passing of an entrance test-
- B.A. (H) (In Journalism)
- BBE ( Business Economics)
- Elementary education
- Humanities and social science
- Health education & sports
- B. Tech. (in Information technology and mathematical innovation)
DU’s decision to make NTA hold it’s entrance examinations has faced backslashes for the past 3 years and for the same reason, DU was unable to implement it till now. But this year, chances of approval are high.
The proposal for this move has been sent to the admission committee, a higher and larger body and it’s a chair for approval.
