It is very much disappointing on the part of the government that they could not control pollution level this time, the range was marked to highly dangerous, not just this but students were given off until 5 November due to high alerts.
Students from Delhi University showed their disagreement by forming a human chain against government inability. Students from all different universities like Jawaharlal Nehru University, Ambedkar, Jamia Millia and many more. arrived at Connaught place to show their anger for the government.
Students demanded 10000 CNG DTC buses to control private vehicle movement. Not just this they also demanded a 1-month free ride in metros. Students also demanded to ban all the construction activities and running of diesel generators for at least one month with guaranteed compensation to workers and no job losses. Not just this students also demanded setting up of solar panels against the existing ones. In order to control further pollution, these were some demands by students.
Kawalpreet Kaur, president Delhi ASIA, stated that every year there is a blame game between central and state ultimately making government the victim of this problem. But in actual pollution is a political issue. Political parties must show the political will to address it.
