The President of DUSU, Ankiv Baisoya is in a fix since the Delhi High Court has asked him to uncover the gang behind his alleged fake graduation degree.
The once, DUSU president is facing serious legal hurdles as his graduate degree has come out as forged ones. The Delhi court, Justice Suresh Kaithas injuncted Baisoya to notify on Friday whether or not he is going to unravel the names of people involved in furnishing him with counterfeit documents, mark sheet, and degree.
The demand from the Court came from the plea by Baisoya where he challenged the orders of the court regarding the cancellation of his demand for anticipatory bail.
The Delhi Police is also against the plea, referring to the fact that he has not submitted the contact details of the bevvy responsible for his forged documents yet. The complaint against Baisoya was lodged by the University of Delhi when this unfortunate scam of fake documents came into light. The Delhi Police booked Baisoya for the act of forgery and cheating under the IPC.
This issue was identified and got prominence after Sunny Chiilar, NSUI the counterpart of Baisoya for the post of president, he challenged his nominations stating his degree to be fake and thus his nomination should stand to cancel. According to Baisoya, he has completed his graduation from Thiruvalluvar University, but when asked about the same the University simply denied the fact.
Due to such controversy Baisoya had to resign from his post on November 15 as the ABVP students’ wing intervened for the same and asked him to do so. The matter is getting worse for Baisoya as he has been suspended from the ABVP students’ union panel up till the controversy doesn’t get resolved. The case is itself a shame on Indian politics.
