No Ad hoc Teachers will lose Job – MHRD

After 2 days of protest from DUTA (Delhi University Teacher Association), ad hoc teachers finally, get relief and assurance from the Union Human Resource Development Ministry about the job security of current ad hoc teachers.

HRD ministry accepted most of the demands of the teachers but the protest is still in continuation. As per the DUTA leader, they will call off the strike only when the Ministry will give a hard copy and written letter stating all the promises made by the Ministry. As per the promise, letter of 28 august 2019 got demolished and now ad hoc teacher will his/her job.

On Thursday, 5.12.19 DUTA had a six-hour-long meeting with the University association but no solution came out. Teachers continued their protest and were expecting a solution HRD Ministry who intervene when 100 of University Teachers didn’t get their salaries for a month. HRD Ministry came forward and looked after this matter. DUTA along with hundreds of teachers and ad hoc teachers demoing for an appointment, absorption, and promotion of ad hoc teachers along with the payment of salary.

As per the DUTA leader statement, he was called at 4 p.m. on 5.12.19 for a meeting with MHRD, after the teachers break into the Vice chancellor’s office and raised slogans against new education system and University administration.
