No Entrance Test for 2019-20 Admissions to DU and JNU, says Javadekar

The news of Delhi University conducting entrance exams for the 2019 admissions to undergraduate courses has surfaced in the past few days. The Ministry of Human Resource Development stated that it is planning to tackle the menace of high cut-offs by introducing an entrance test for gaining admission to undergraduate courses of Delhi University.

However, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar, said in an interview on Friday that,” for 2019-20, admissions in Delhi University will be based on class 12th marks only.”

Jawaharlal Nehru University has already announced that National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting its entrance examination in May for academic year 2019-20. The National Testing agency (NTA) had also confirmed it. The minister, however, said,” nothing is final yet.”
