With less than a week lest for the semester exams at DU here are some last-minute tips that will help you sail through.

Past year papers:

DU has a tendency to repeat questions. So head over to your college library, fish out the last year’s papers and find out the questions that have been repeated. Give more priority towards preparing those answers first. This trick can easily help you cover 70% of the paper.

Be well prepared:

The last few days are crucial. The gaps in between the papers are less so you have to do most of the preparation beforehand. It is unreasonable to depend on the study leave in between papers. Make use of the study break or at least whatever is left of it.

Find a study spot:

Everybody has a different study location of choice. Some prefer to be cooped up in their rooms while others like to hit the library every morning. Figure out the place where you can attain the highest concentration. If you stay in a college hostel or pg, look for a quiet corner and get settled.

Hit that caffeine:

College exams can be stressful and scoring well in DU exams is no child’s play. These are the days of early mornings and late nights. It may feel like your body has gone on an auto-pilot mode. So if you don’t want to feel like a complete zombie, you could up your caffeine dosage to help you cope.

Take rest:

Even if you cannot manage to get 6 to 7 hours of sleep, make sure you take a 10- 15 minutes nap in between study hours. Shorter naps will help you rejuvenate your minds.

White noise:

Instead of listening to your regular playlist go for playlists that are specifically made for improving focus and concentration. Search for white noise on Spotify or YouTube. They are calming and have a neutralizing effect on stress.

Time management:

Study smart, try to cover the majority of the syllabus. And leave some time for revision.

Self- care:

When you are studying, make sure you remain well hydrated and not hungry. Eat a healthy diet and give your mind some rest. Do not stop doing the things that you love doing. Take some time out and go for a walk. Take care of your physical as well as mental health.

Schedule:

Make a time table. Fix certain dates on which you plan to cover which of the topics.

Small changes:

One of the most important things about taking care of yourself is making sure that you do not bring about drastic changes to your previous schedule and biological cycle.
