There is some bad news for the students seeking admission in Delhi University in 2019. Delhi University is likely to introduce entrance exams for all its undergraduate course with due weightage to class 12th marks.
If this system is implemented the process will be as follows-
The change is yet to be officially introduced and for now, the varsity is still pondering over it. Last year as well the change was expected to be introduced. However, the DU admission committee could not reach a consensus. Many faculty members were against the decision and the problem of holding the entrance exams couldn’t make it a success last year. The panel is also considering the outsourcing of the entrance exams to National Testing Agency (NTA).
In 2017 the university had made the switch to entrance exams. But, the problem of the incapability of students from remote areas would be at a disadvantage in computer-based exams due to the short notice.
