On Tuesday, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidya Parishad (ABVP) objected against Yogesh K Tyagi, the V-C of Delhi University, alleging him for not implementing the various demands made by the students.
Members of the ABVP have been attempting to set up a meeting with Yogesh Tyagi to lay out their demands, to name a few, “one course, one fee”, supplementary examinations, new hostels, special paths for differently abled etc.
Shakti Singh, the president of DUSU, said,
“The vice-chancellor has to end this dictatorial attitude of not listening to the problems of the students. It is very unfortunate that the way the problems of students are not being paid heed to.”
Shakti Singh was originally elected as the vice-president of DUSU but was soon promoted to the post of president after Ankit Baisoya resigned.
“We got information that the V-C has been admitted to AIIMS. We are giving him an ultimatum of 15 days to fulfil our demands.”
The march has proceeded from the Arts Faculty to the Vishwavidyala Metro station on Tuesday.
