Ad hoc teachers get no response from Delhi University Administration

It has been 9 days since 20 ad hoc teachers of Delhi University began a hunger strike outside the Faculty of Arts on January 4.

The ad hoc teachers of Delhi University are demanding immediate absorption.

This will make them avail the benefits offered to a permanent employee such as paid maternity leave, retirement benefits, etc.

The teachers said that they still haven’t heard from the varsity administration. The teachers are termed the varsity administration as ‘apathetic’.

Also, the teachers have written to the HRD Ministry, requesting them to intervene in this matter.

The university has 4,600 ad hoc teachers in total and claim that the protest would intensify if the administration does not consider their plea.
