South Delhi is an affluent locality but that doesn’t mean it isn’t student friendly. On the contrary, the students here get to snoop around some of the best known hangout places in the city. Some of which are:
1. Select Citywalk Mall
The mall, which is just 2kms away from the campus area is the favourite hangout spot for the students in South Delhi Colleges.
The shopping sections feature top brands like Zara and H&M, with the most varied and updated stocks. It also hosts events like the Pizza Fest, Waffle Fest and many more and has a dedicated food court along with a number of high-end restaurants.
Along with festive events like those around Christmas and Valentine’s Day they host events like Sway in Love which is accompanied by themed decorations in and around the mall.

For movie screenings, it takes the experience to another level with its IMAX screens.
Select Citywalk also has a rainforest-themed family entertainment centre and cafe called Hangout and it includes arcade and skill games, amusement and high-tech rides, virtual roller coasters, 3D/4D motion theatre and much more.
Also, if you’re lucky you might spot a celebrity here. *wink wink*

2. PVR Anupam
All of us have at least once bunked college for a movie. It’s thrilling and also pocket-friendly as the shows in the morning are inexpensive.
Around every hit movie release, you can find students rushing to PVR Anupam which is 3kms away from the most colleges in the area and it provides a good viewing experience at prices that suit the students’ pockets.

3. Hauz Khas village
Don’t judge a book by its cover because Hauz Khas Village or “HKV” is anything but a village.
Students come here for two purposes. First is the most obvious one, we all need to look good on our social media profiles and the monuments here serve as both a nice outing and a good background for posing.
Secondly, the cafes here are among the most famous in Delhi. I mean, who hasn’t heard about Social, Levels, Rabbit Hole? If you work hard, you deserve to party hard too and HKV might be the “it” place for it.
4. SDA market
SDA is a cafe hub where it’s paradise city for the foodies in all of us. If your idea of a perfect hangout is in a cafe with beautiful decor sipping drinks and eating pizzas then SDA is the place for you.
It features famous cafes like What A Comic Show, Scooter on The Wall, Beeryani. If you’re a caffeine addict, located here are Barista and Costa Coffee and other places for a quick sip like The Smoothie Factory. Desserts, in the end, it also has bakeries like Azote and Rainbows. Happy eating.

5. Shahpur Jat
Shahpur Jat is a “hip, bohemian enclave”, which is famous for its markets and designer stores.
The cafes here are a popular student attraction. Who doesn’t love to shop and eat? Some of the famous cafes here include The Mad Teapot, The Potbelly Rooftop Cafe, Ivy and Bean, and for the dog lovers Puppychino.
6. Champa Gali
Champa Gali is famous among students of not one but all campuses for it’s quirky yet serene and beautifully themed cafes.
The main attractions here cafes like Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters which also have a branch in Hauz Khas, Pho King which is famous for its Asian and Chinese food, Jugmug Thela and many more.
At nights, the fairy lights here make this place more stunning than it already is.

7. Green Park
Green Park is famous for being one of the poshest and affluent areas in the national capital. It features both markets and cafes.
